The Blackwood Fault

Where is Elena Ruiz? For eighteen years, her abandoned car has been the last trace of her anyone could explain. Detective Julian Mercer has spent six months searching the Blackwood Fault on his own time, determined to give her sister an answer. Then he finds a single silver earring—and suddenly has three million dollars in equipment to search an unstable sinkhole. Julian sees his best chance to close the case. Forensic engineer Vance sees a dangerous site, rushed approvals, and drilling coordinates far more precise than the evidence warrants. As the machinery cuts deeper, the old case begins to unravel. Julian has waited years for a lead worth following. How far can he trust this one?
