His Truck Is Still Outside

After a storm tears through his neighborhood, Tom kneels over a bucket of bleach, trying to piece together last night's bitter argument with the man next door. There is blood on the floor. Tom tells himself he knows what happened. Then Clara knocks. Marcus never came home. His truck is still outside Tom's house, and she has found his crushed inhaler on the porch. Tom says he spilled paint. As deputies search the surrounding woods, he plays the worried neighbor, hiding every trace of a night he can remember only in fragments. But Clara knows Marcus came to see him. The search is moving closer. And Tom still has no answer to the question everyone is asking: where is Marcus?
